DVD Drives
Drives able to write DVD-R(W) and DVD+R(W) disks at high speed are now $30 commodity items. They are available with new SATA connectors or old parallel ATA connectors.
While Blu-Ray burners are available, BD-R writable disks are very expensive and may not be a cost effective choice for storage. Blu-Ray readers are available for $100 and with a supplied player program can be used to watch HD movies on your computer.
