Controlled Web Access

Sakai Controlled Web Access

This project provides a Servlet Filter and a Sakai Tool that allows Browser and WEBDAV access to a separate Web Server file space through access control rules defined in terms of Sakai sites and roles. Every Sakai site can have a directory on the Web Server. The Instructor, or someone with admin privileges to the site, creates Read, Write, or NoAccess permissions to the various Roles associated with the Sakai site. By default the Instructor has Write permission and Students have Read. Two pseudo-roles are defined that apply to a public Web Server but not to normal Sakai access. A Person is someone logged into Sakai but not a member of the Site. Anonymous is a non-logged in Browser (public access to the world).
