- Discuss Banner push tasks to be done this week
Shopping period ended Friday, the Banner push 'should' happen today. Gloria is waiting for confirmation from the registrar. Once the push is done, Michael will review the Banner data to see that students are now converted to 'students'. Gloria will run another report to gather number of 'shoppers' and 'shopper_ws'. We will compare numbers after the Banner import is done to see how many were 'converted'.
Cheryl will adjust the shoppers/course/instructors script to produce a text file for the shopper emails and the instructor email addresses. Gloria will use these to spam the faculty and shoppers after the firt Banner import. Faculty will be spammed one day, shoppers a day or two later to allow for registrar 'catch up'.
Cheryl will make all Spring 2007 courses unjoinable at 8am, January 31, 2007.
MGT 'E' courses - Cheryl needs to adjust the 'convert students to view_only' script to exlude courses that have the site_id like 'mgt123e1_s07' because these courses span multiple terms.
Gloria will review lists of 'guest' auditors from Summer Programs, Fox Fellows, World Fellows, etc. and will use one of the Classes*v2 Utilities to change their role to guest.
- Review SPAM to be sent to faculty/students
Need to give a drop-dead date to instructors and students as to when the shoppers will be purged. Actual date is February 8, spam email will indicate February 6 to allow for stragglers.
Special note in shopper email to tell students who had shopped a course via OCS not to panic if they do not have an 'unjoin' button, they will be purged automatically.
- Other Issues
Instructors would like a more visible way to tell that a course is Unpublished
Version 2.3 webdav has issues with the latest Mac OS 10.4. Cheryl is keeping an eye on the dev list to see if we can circumvent issues.
Per Gloria, the 'change your Netid password' webpage has changed.
Need to make the 'How to add a TF to a course site' more visible. Need to at least add it to the Instructors' Essentials and the Instructor's Quickstart Guide
Gloria briefed us on a meeting that Chuck had with Ernie Huff and the registrar folks about Classes*v2 being able to incorporate/populate sections from Banner data. 2.3 is NOT written to be able to do this out of the box.
Jive vs. JForums/Message Center - we may still stay with Jive if JForum and Message Center do not measure up in time for Fall. A new login routine will need to be created for non-Yale users. Michael says this is doable.

- Sakai 2.3, new features, timeline, tasks
http://sakai22-nightly.its.yale.edu/portal currently has 2.3 code. By Friday, it will have the latest code base, per Jen. Tools to be loaded on new server that are not provisional: Config viewer (Tony Atkins tool), Page Order Helper tool
- Proposed meeting structure change; developer vs. overall project direction Meetings will now be broken up into technical discussions and project planning. Michael will set up the technical meeting, David will propose the project planning meetings.
