\- Library folks meeting from last week: {color:#3300ff}Kalee called in to discuss status of Sakaibrary. Bob Reiss (sp?) has set up their Sakai 2.3 server with some 2.4 patches supplied by UMich for the Sakaibrary environment. UMich is also going to send patches for searching DB content. The Sakaibrary tool will be a part of Resources, not a tool on its own. When an instructor adds a new Resources, one of the selections in the resource type pull-down will be 'citation list'. After that is selected, the instructor can opt to enter the citation information or search library resources. If they select 'Search', they will then be prompted to select a Metalib from a supplied list of library databases. The results of the search will be displayed and the instructor can select which items to add to Resources.{color}
{color:#3300ff}Currently, Johns Hopkins and Yale are the testers for Sakaibrary. Berkley and one other school are also supposed to be testing (along with UMich and Indiana).{color}
- Discuss adding view_only role to Email Tool configuration: {color:#3300ff}this will only be necessary for prior course sites as the 2.3 mailtool is automatically configured for all roles present in a site.{color}
\- Planning for shutdown of v1: {color:#3300ff}Gloria stopped Ed K. in the hall and asked him to set up a meeting to plan the shutdown of Classesv1 (logins, disk access, content migration, etc.) Gloria provided list of items needing to be addressed prior to shutdown. Suggested date for shut off of instructor and student logins is July 1, 2007. The Browse page and vended web content will need to remain alive for the time being.{color}
\- 2.3 planning/testing updates: {color:#3300ff}Syllabus, roster and post 'em (no changes needed for Post 'Em) are done. Still waiting on nightly to be fixed for external email with Mailtool, Blogger, and Wiki problems.{color}
\- AMS1 outage for March 20, 2007, 8am-12pm: {color:#3300ff}CW to request webspace on Elsinore to put a webpage to be used for Classesv2 outage notices so we can change content at will. Systems will have a static page with a redirect to this page. www.yale.edu/cmi2/... Gloria will send out outage notices and change MOTD.{color}
\- Final changes for the v2 development priorities Excel sheet by Wed a.m.: {color:#3300ff}Please send any changes/updates to David prior to 11am tomorrow (3/14/07) so he can send list to Chuck.{color}

\- Webspace.yale.edu down on Sunday, March 4, 2007 after reboot/Java upgrade:{color:#3300ff} per Jen, server startup scripts had not been changed since the machine (aka howard.its.yale.edu) was converted from a normal Sakai node. Both the startup scripts and machine room procedures will now be updated so that the webserver is restarted and monitored by operations.{color}
\- Guest promotion to student: {color:#3300ff}Since most of the semester is past, we may not investigate this option for this semester. May look into other ways to identify 'guests' on v2 that are registered students on v1 and convert manually. Tabled for now. {color}
\- Meeting with person who wanted admin/view access to all courses for TF assignments: {color:#3300ff}Meeting will occur at the end of the month. He needs a way to best calculate the number of TFs necessary on a course by course basis. Wants to use v2 for information on how to make these judgments. Gloria has already cautioned that v2's numbers are very unreliable for making these types of decisions as they are not accurate during shopping period, assigned tf's may not be TF's at all but visiting professors, etc. Chuck P. will be in on this meeting.{color}
\- Sakai 2.3: {color:#3300ff}Cheryl is doing tool by tool comparisons with v2.1.2 and recording notes on Confluence{color}
\- Sakai 2.3 local customizations: {color:#3300ff}Peter and Parthee have completed changes to Syllabus and are working on the Roster tool.{color}
\- RT tickets: {color:#3300ff}General discussion about tickets that came in during Gloria's absence. Nothing outstanding.{color}\\
