In my spare time (ha!) I've started to look at standards (i.e. OASIS) 
that meet these needs that CAS could respond with.  Howard Gilbert did 
some initial work with SAML so we'll probably look into expanding that 
in our next major release. That unfortunately, probably does not match 
your time table :-(
