I'm sure I could dig through the code to find this, but considering I  
started a vacation yesterday I'm going to be lazy and ask you Scott ;)

Is CAS simply returning a SAML assertion within the normal CAS  
protocol but just using a different validate call or is CAS doing a  
full SAML protocol implementation?
