CAS 3.1 Release Candidate 2 is not a production release. CAS 3.1 has NOT
been released. We do not recommend that anyone go into production with CAS
3.1. The releases have been posted for those who (a) are interested in
seeing what's new and (b) want to get a jump start on deploying a CAS
3.1release when the final stable production release becomes available.
As for how to compile and deploy, CAS 3.1 utilizes Maven 2 which provides a
set of standard directory structures and goals.
To generate the JARs and WAR for CAS 3.1, you would merely need to do the
following (assuming Maven2 is installed):
cd $CAS_PROJECT_HOME
mvn package install
If you have 3.0.7 in production and have no need for the CAS 3.1 features,
there is no need to upgrade at this time.
