[cas-dev] CAS Client for Java 3.1.3 RC3

Scott,

I'm really glad that more debugging statements have been added to the
CAS client as I have been working through some problems with one of the
older CAS clients (JA-SIG 3.0) that have been slightly more painful
given the lack of debugging.

My only suggestion relates to the validate() method of
org.jasig.cas.client.validation.AbstractUrlBasedTicketValidator
<https://www.ja-sig.org/svn/cas-clients/java-client/tags/cas-java-client
-3-1-3-rc3/cas-client-core/src/main/java/org/jasig/cas/client/validation
/AbstractUrlBasedTicketValidator.java> . It would be helpful to
actually output the validation URL provided by
constructValidationUrl(ticket, service). While troubleshooting rogue
traffic coming through load balancers, we needed to confirm that the CAS
client was validating service tickets against the CAS servers directly
rather than going through our load balancers. Thankfully, I was able to
write a wrapper class that took an instance of the
AbstractUrlBasedTicketValidator and perform the necessary logging
statements, but it would be helpful to simply include this in the
distribution.

Once again, great work! =D

Subject: [cas-dev] CAS Client for Java 3.1.3 RC3

All,

We've posted up the CAS Client for Java 3.1.3 RC3 which has a number of
bug fixes and new features. The RC3 is available from the JASIG Maven2
Repository (http://developer.ja-sig.org/maven2). Final versions are
always available from the main repositories.

The change log so far can be seen here:
http://www.ja-sig.org/issues/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&pid=1
0100&fixfor=10540

Please report any bugs. If we don't hear anything back by the end of
the week we'll release a final version so that we can upgrade Spring
Security.

Thanks
-Scott
