By default, cas.log is supposed to be placed wherever you startup the 
container. (on windows this is normally TOMCAT_HOME/bin).  This is so 
that the war file can be deployed in any container (whether its exploded 
or not).  You can modify the log4j.properties file to tell it to place 
the log wherever  you want.
