Subject: Tomcat5 Memory Usage Growing
I am using CAS 2.4.3, Tomcat 5.0.30, JRE 1.4.2_09 and I connect to an
Oracle (9.2.5) to validate users over a JDBC connection using a custom
written stored function that returns a CHAR(1). The CAS server runs on
a Windows 2003 Server.
The server ran fine in testing, ran with a light load, and then when my
students began registering for classes I noticed a tremendous slowdown.
After investigating I noticed that the server tomcat5.exe process began
consuming more and more ram, eventually would get to over 220MB and stop
responding.
Does anyone have any ideas as to where my issue might be? Has anyone
ever had a similar issue?
