Clustering question

Can anyone suggest a known testing protocol to validate whether or not CAS ticket replication is working using JBoss-cache?  

I don't see any logging indicating replication success or failure.  The only test I've tried is logging into a CAS enabled service, shutting down the CAS server that serviced my login, using my browser to pass a serviceValidate request to the other CAS server node to see if it "knows" about the ticket.  I get a failure to validate every time.  However, everything "appears" to be working properly.  I need to _know_ that it's working though.

I've determined positively that tomcat is replicating session information.  I'm just not certain how best to test ticket replication.

Ideas?
