Load Tests

I'm currently doing load testing on my implementation of the CAS. It isn't going
well! Not bad, but I need better. Slow ramp ups are ok, but on concurrent login
spikes it die with 500 errors on ticket validation.

However, before I start to panic I thought I ask if anyone else has done load or
stress testing. What sort of results were you finding. 

I've not run a profiler on my code either...I'll be doing that today. I also
have to deal with configuration of a jboss cluster, a Big IP, to mention a few
things. So all of these could be / probably are a factor in the performance
issues I'm finding.
