John,
I cannot remember exactly why I created a CASFilter2 class. It
differs very slightly from the original CASFilter since it uses a
different CASFilterRequestWrapper class. The new
CASFilterRequestWrapper2 class I created differs by returning a simple
Principal object (containing the username). It was quite a while ago
I did this so I am not sure that this step is necessary (it could have
just been part of my experimenting). Just in case these classes are
necessary, I have attached a copy of the original and modified
versions for your future reference.
