CAS 3 Client + uPortal Integration

I've searched without success on the JA-SIG Wiki and the Web for some
instructions describing how to integrate the uPortal CAS client shipped
with the CAS 3 client distribution, cas-client-java-3.0.0.zip.  Most of
what I have found is related to the Yale CAS client, for example,

someone point me to documentation that describes how to integrate the
uPortal client shipped with the CAS 3 client distribution?  Does the
lack of documentation imply no one is integrating uPortal with CAS this
way?  If so, why?
