Mark and Chris,
If you look at the "Detailed CAS overview" document on SunGard's support
site you will get a little more information. I don't think I'm giving
anything away by saying it's 1-J6B6A. :)
They talk about how CAS was implemented and why. The main suggestions
that are made are:
1. Make your external CAS server a proxy to the Luminis CAS Server
2. Have your external CAS use the Luminis LDAP as the authentication
source
#1 essentially gives you cross domain SSO out of Luminis into the
resources protected by the external CAS. #2 doesn't, but it gives you a
common authoritative source.
We are using the CAS server within Luminis, and are considering an
external CAS server to take advantage of some of the new features.
However, that is all further down the road and I can't give you any
insight into the process.
Hope this helps. If you do get it working please share, we would love to
hear about it.
