Using CAS without modify existing applications?

For the most part, you will need to modify applications to utilize CAS.  The
only exception to this may be if you are protecting them with a security
abstraction framework (such as Acegi) which would just require
reconfiguration or if you are protecting your pages with an Apache module
(which may then require just changing Apache modules).
