problem validating ticket resolved

to customize my own casloginview.jsp I modify the view/jsp/simple/ui/casLoginView.jsp and cas.properties to set cas.viewResolver.basename=simple_views then I get error message network is unreacheable: connect, because of this the ticket validator did not get the xml response with the username logged in. 
why?
