How to send additional attributes.

In CAS 3.0.3 we were able to send additional user attributes from CAS to
uPortal (when authentication is successful), we had to introduce some
classes and also had to modify the JSP.

Can some one let us know how this is facilitated in CAS 3.1.2, do I have to
do the same process or it is faciliated in a more convenient way?
