CAS Client Solution

CAS team,

 

I am looking for a best-fit CAS client solution.  Here is our case -

 

CAS Server [3.07] - Centrally managed with almost no control over the
configuration. 

 

Client Web Apps - Some of them are hosted at the vendor's site, many of
them are custom built, and rest of them are packaged applications hosted
internally.  We do not have the ability to modify all client apps.  All
of them do however support "external authentication" in varied ways -
like some of them require an additional parameter to be returned after
external authentication, etc.

 

So I am thinking of having a central client that accepts requests from a
defined set of apps, performs authentication against CAS server, adds
the necessary attributes and sends the user back to the target app.  

 

Would JAAS work in our case w/o any server-side control?  Any thoughts
on the process in general and a better way to approach the problem?
