Apache2::AuthCAS, server internal error

Hi, 
I get an Internal Server Error when I try to access to my applications. I'm using Apache2, Apache2::AuthCAS and mod_perl 2.0.3. 
The error I get is: 

[Fri Aug 29 10:38:15 2008] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Can't locate object method "new" via package "Apache2::Request" (perhaps you forgot to load "Apache2::Request"?) at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.7/Apache2/AuthCAS.pm line 166.\n

The line 166 in AuthCAS.pm is the following:
my $apr = Apache2::Request->new($r);

Anyone could help me solving this error? thanks!
