CAS login screen with OpenID

Hi,

I've installed CAS 3.1.1 and followed the instructions on 
http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CASUM/OpenID but I'm confused about the login screen.

Even after modifying the login view, both "username" and "password" are required fields, 
but I'm under the impression that I should just have an "OpenID address" field.

Or is the problem that I should never actually be visiting the CAS login screen directly?

I'm a CAS newbie, but I promise I've searched the archive before asking! :)
