I've heard of a few people investigating Perdition (an IMAP proxy) to
do local password or GSSAPI authentication, then forward the Google
credential on the user's behalf.  This way, the user always uses the
local credentials, and never needs to know the Google credential.

Perdition and CAS then use the same backend for authentication.

Anyone on this list make any progress on this?
