Cas server down

Wadii:

I assume you're looking for high-availability or some disaster recovery
plan.  You could do something yourself within the CAS client, but I don't
think you'll come across any public recommendations.

You can cluster your CAS servers.  The filter route would require that each
filter HTTP-ping the CAS server prior to making it's HTTPS separate request
back to the CAS server.  That seems like a lot of trouble to me.
