How do I modify cas.properties in uPortal 3.x?

I'm currently using uPortal 3.0.2-and we've changed the URL of our server.  The only cas.properties files I see are in ...\target\cas\WEB-INF\ and the corresponding .war file.  As expected, changing them there does not survive a deploy (nor would I want it to).  When I follow the trail, mvn is actually picking up an old file (3/10/2008) from the repository outside my system.  Even if I delete the corresponding file in .m2\~, it still picks it up from there.

Do I need to check out CAS as source to simply change the name of our server?

I'm confused!
