Clustering CAS with Terracotta?

Release Notes for CAS Server 3.3 announces Terracotta support:

- Would you rank Terracotta as a equivalent solution to your description of cluster in
http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CASUM/Clustering+CAS?

- The downloaded zip of 3.3.1 does not contain the sample terracotta config. We only found it in svn -
is the config usable anyway?

- Has anybody used Terracotta clustering of CAS in real life or is it only a theorical idea?
