How to start with cas

HI

I fallowed all the steps which is given in demo (

after done all the things accoring to demo

i runned this in browser::
http://compA:8080/servlets-examples/servlet/HelloWorldExample<http://compa:8080/servlets-examples/servlet/HelloWorldExample>


so i founded out that request going to cas filter,and we r passing url and
serviceurl and validateurl to casfilter

so plz explain me after this whats happening in the given *
cas-server-webapp-3.3.1.war* file

and please help me on,do we need to run any server of cas????

and one more thing ,if i configure this war file to my application it will
work single signon and single out to my whole application???

i am not able to understand how to go forward with  this

plz help meee

i am new to this cas ,so i am not able to go forward,and also ,so please
help mee on this
